Your Turn — Like A Pin
It’s your turn now. “Your Turn” are small pieces of writing where you can experience a scent of meditation. You can go beyond words and experience silence. You don’t have to be an experienced meditator for this. In this “Your Turn”, you will experience the sharpness of pin and then go beyond it.
This “Your Turn” is based on my recent article which is a monologue by a pin. In it a pin describes her nature. She introduces you to her world. Her innocence. Something as humans you will take for granted.
Here is the article
While reading the article is not necessary for this “Your Turn”, you will get some context if you read it.
So let’s get started.
“It’s Your Turn” to be a Pin
Hold a pin in your hand. You can even look at it from a distance, pinned on a board or lying somewhere on your table or drawer.
Or, you can simply imagine a pin.
A sharp metallic object that is sitting alone somewhere inside a drawer. It has been there for very long time. Undisturbed. Cozily hidden from rest of the world.
If you are holding the pin, feel its thin metallic body. You can feel it’s sharpness without pricking.
Take some deep breaths.
Is the pin cold or warm?
You can leave the pin now and close your eyes.
Imagine you are the pin. With sharp pointed end. Feel that sharpness in your head. Take deep breaths. And let your whole body feel like a one solid metallic pin. Your sharpness is innocent. Relax now.
Relax for sometime.
Let the idea of pin dissolve. Just stay with that feeling of sharpness, solidity & innocence. Enjoy the feeling for sometime.
After a couple of minutes take a few deep breaths and open your eyes.
Now you can do it for 2 to 3 minutes. Enjoy. Have fun.
